Studio Newborn Photography
Do you dream of those squishy newborn photos where your baby is curled up in a little ball fast asleep? Or snoozing sweetly inside of a bucket or basket? My studio sessions include all of this and more. And I promise I'll make it easy for you... just bring your sweet baby and I'll handle the rest. My studio is stocked full of props including the tiniest NB outfits, wraps, hats, blankets and headbands in every color. I even have a few dresses for mom in my client closet if you wish to borrow anything for yourself.
THE STUDIO SESSION
NEWBORN
We'll typically start the session with your baby wrapped nice and cozy in a swaddle until she falls asleep. We will move her from basket to bucket, to bowl, using your choice of colors and props that I have on hand. Once she's fast asleep, we'll move her to the beanbag for some unwrapped poses as well. There's plenty of time built in for feeding and snuggles to make sure mom and baby are feeling their best.
SIBLINGS & FAMILY
Family photos are encouraged! Documenting that bond you have with your baby in the first few weeks of life is one of my favorite things. And don't worry, if there are siblings involved, we will get those out of the way first so the kids can relax. I have 3 kids of my own so I'm an expert at corralling children into a few quick and easy poses that will last you a lifetime.

Babies are sleepiest and easiest to maneuver into all the cutest poses when they are just a few days old. If possible, try to schedule your session for sometime in the first 6-15 days. Booking in advance will help you secure your spot on my calendar, as well as allow time to prepare.
Once you're booked, we can always adjust the date pending baby's arrival.
And not to worry if you missed the 6-15 day window. Newborn photos can be taken anytime in the first few months. The older your baby is, the more awake and interactive images we're likely to get.

Delivery dates are unpredictable. Don't worry, when we book your session the date is not set in stone. I am always available to reschedule pending baby's arrival. I rely on you to communicate with me as much as possible if your due date changes or as soon as possible if your baby comes early.
Yes! Family photos are encouraged. I will try to shoot the family poses first so that the kids can relax once they're done their part.
Newborn sessions can take place anytime in the first several months. With brand new babies we're able to do a wider variety of poses, but with older and more alert babies, we will focus more on their personality and interaction. You're never too old for a photo shoot!
